If you have given your life to Christ, you are a beloved child of the living God. Everything flows from this identity. This is the preeminent relationship of your life.
Love the wife of your youth and guard your heart. Nothing else in life is right, if your relationship with her isn’t healthy.
Model the love of the Father to your children. The years raising them are short and priceless. Make the most of them. Recognize you raise your children to leave you and help them launch into adulthood when the time comes.
Whenever you work, do it to the best of your ability. Strive to your next level of success, and also help others reach the level of success you’ve achieved. Be where your feet are, and be content with your pay. God provides for your needs.
Be accepting, trusting, stable, creative, optimistic, and supportive. While you strive to live at peace with all people, speak truth with grace, even when it could lead to conflict.
There are only two kinds of people in this world. Those who are convinced of how much God loves them, and those who need to be loved the way God loves them until such time as they are convinced of how much God loves them. Until proven otherwise, assume people need to be loved and love them well.
Life is transient and precious. People and relationships mean more than paychecks and prestige. Control what you can control, and leave the rest to God. Live passionately, love deeply, forgive quickly, and pray continually.
